An Unforgettable Experience of Mexican Folk Art
Located just north of San Miguel de Allende, Galería Atotonilco is home to one of the finest collections of museum-quality Mexican folk art. Every piece in the gallery has been hand-selected by owner Mayer Shacter, who has spent more than two decades exploring remote villages, meeting master artisans, and curating work from every region of Mexico.
Our collection celebrates the extraordinary artistry, cultural depth, and creative traditions that define Mexico’s folk art heritage — from intricate wood carvings to monumental ceramics, finely woven textiles, and contemporary craft forms that honor centuries-old techniques.
